Think makes it pretty clear
Any idea what sort of freight costs for a stock ? Anyone got one in before ?
I remember my last one cost $177NZ landed at my front door about 2 years ago, may be slightly more now (although the NZ$ is stronger now) but probably about he same, definately under $200.
I wish they made a rimfire hunter stock for Marlin XT
$67.40US = $87.22NZ shipping
So a Standard Laminate stock costs $97 + $67.4 shipping = $164.40US = $212.73NZ
Little more than I thought but still good for a nice stock.
Pity about the $100 limit, would definately be worth the money for chequering and a recoil pad.
Interesting website but no sign of a stock for a Tikka which is strange, considering many are sold.
Never mind a new shotgun - new stock for the .270 coming up!!
I'm thinking about a Varmint Thumbhole Boyds: VARMINT THUMBHOLE REMINGTON® 700 BDL LONG ACTION FACTORY BARREL CHANNEL NUTMEG LAMINATE (FINISHED) VT Varmint Thumbhole - bit of extra weight to help tame the recoil. Shame about the $99 limit as I'd like the decent recoil pad too, but I can get that fitted here.
Really confused about picking a colour though - some of them look waaaay out there!!
There you go

Obviously different people do get different things! All good.
Ahh tried in IE and its there, guess the Boyds site just doesn't like Firefox.
Yep, should drop straight in, pretty sure all the boyds are free floated, bedding would probably be a good idea but not essential. ;)
Mmmm. May consider this. All I have to do is practice more until I deserve a laminate stock.
Watch this - I dont have the attention span
EDIT : Forgot the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDxr4R21yAg
Cheers Herne - that looks easy, :o now where is Dean Maiseys phone number?
Help please I'm going to get a new stock for Remington 700 270 , I like the look of " prairie hunter " is that a good choice ? Or there is a classic ? . How much do the weigh ? Will they be heavier than plastic stock ? . 270 do I order long action ?
weights are down the bottom of the stock info page.
dont no but i no rem mod 7 plastic stocks are fucken heavy.
At a guess i would think you will slightly heavier with the laminate but probably not enough to notice
Yep you 270 will be long action
Thanks , my plastic stock has been glass beded , the laminate stock shouldn't alter accuracy ?
Anyone got one of those ss evolution's for a ruger 10/22 that would pimp it lol
The new stock arrived today - $204 NZ  Feels awesome although a little heavier than I thought it might be. Off hand the targets dont seem to wobbly as much - can't wait to shoot it!!

is your action a long one with a blind magazine as i have a savage 7m rem mag in police tactical that needs a new stock so just interested t o see what yours is.
it makes it into a smart looking rifle i reckon
Go their website and type in your make, model, type of stock etc and they should have something to suit. Mines a long action, hinged floor plate. Awesome fit although when I bed it I will need to sand a wee bit in the bolt closed recess.
Tikka stocks now on shelf ,,,,,,,left hand ones still over a hundy for us left handers"which is ridiculas" ,,,,,,but with a bit of gentle persusion haha :o they will be having a week long international left handers special in near future and i think that may be on all left hand stocks,,,dont quote me but
They have tikka stocks listed on their webpage
Don't know what happened there. What a flop.
Tikka stocks are there now.
Considering the tacticool one, will be no doubt my sport barrel will be free floated then.
Be great for magpie/plover/target destroying, but not convinced it'll make a good hunting/bush stock......
Wonder how many 100 more stocks will hit nz shores now there doing tikka. Perhaps 1000's!
