    Broken PRW Rings

So I'm a dick and over torqued the keeper screws on a set of 2nd hand PRWs I recently acquired. Surprisingly easy to do, too the point in not sure if they were faulty or not, but that's not the point. Dr Google says they are only good for 22in/lb. which sounds surprisingly weak...

Anyhow, has anyone else done this and got a choice part lying around? Can you buy replacements for just the broken bit or do I need a new set of rings? The broken bit is the bit that attaches to the rail. Pic to follow.

Did you just replace the rings?

Gunshops will often have a tub or bucket of old scope rings and bits that they'll let you rummage through to find a replacement for a broken part . . . .

I lost both clamps for a nice set of Burris rings. I suspect they were picked up by a mate's toddler off my bench, and either swallowed or buried somewhere in the garden.

Anyway long story short I wrote a service request on the Burris website in the USA, and they sent me a new pair within a week, no charge.

    Doesn't hurt to ask.

Sorry, forgot to mention I did try Beretta first, the NZ agent for Burris, very helpful guy there who would have sent parts if he had any... so try Leupold agent in NZ first, details here.
