Thread: Budget scope for .308

Hey guys, I am wanting to replace the scope on my Marlin x7 .308. The Hawke scope that came with the package I bought from H&F seems shit. I can't get shots to stay in the same place and sighting it in again today adjustments on the dials sometimes made not difference at all or went the wrong way.
Anyway I don't want to spend alot and like the idea of BDC type reticle and a 3x9x40 scope. So looking at Nikon Prostaff or Vortex Crossfire II which are both around the same price. Any recommendations or advice on these two scopes?
