    Can I re-use import permits?

For example let's say I can buy 3 high-cap mags from USA under the 100 dollar USD limit, but let's say I want 15 of the mags in total, do I need to hand the same application 5x to the police, or is the fact that they were approved once a safe bet that I can use the same permit as many times as I want?

No, if you ask for 15 and it is approved then the AO at customs will tick off 3 of them when they come in.. You can keep ticking off up to 15 until the permit expires.

Once you have imported the number of items on the permit then it's of no use.

Ooooh I see so each permit doesn't have to be one order, I can apply once for what is intended to be completed across multiple orders. Thanks

Pretty sure Customs will keep a tab on you, so when the delivery after the first one comes in, you'll get whacked with all the extra costs for the rest.
At least Customs keep better records than our friendly local bobby's boss McIllraith.

Extra cost for what? He's asking about an import permit which is free.

As far as I know our local AO has a spread sheet with all the details. They will check them off when customs processes the permits?
