Its a Mossberg?
That's for a left handed rifle, and yes they still work set up like that !!!
It's a 270.....? :XD:
yip new left hand scope by the looks
Mossberg ATR ?
Got one, and its brilliant
Check torque on the screws holding the stock to the action.
It looks as though the scope is too close to the barrel . Try higher mounts
Does the barrel contact the end easily? Or is it floating well?
so far scope on 90 ° out and when I tock the rings off the rear mount was lose as the screws were to long.
I shortened those then loctited bases on.
now cleaning barrel with some of my new bore cleaner wipe out will check stock screws for tightness
have these got easily adjustable triggers?

plenty of clearance in the barrel channel.
action screws got a tweak .
the trigger is bloody heavy so will be doing a bit of home work on that tonight.
I will put some shots through tommorow night to see if there's any hope!

Some of these have a very bad mouldings of the stock of where the action seats in and once screws are torqued a lot of tension is build up in the action which can't help for accuracy.
While I have never seen a "left handed scope" and if I did would suspect it was a piss take, I have seen scopes with the horizontal adjustment on the left side. (Only eastern bloc though)
On that note though, even if the scope was sideways, group sizes should be unaffected. Zero'ing the scope and sighting in would become a nightmare, but groups should stay fine.
What brand is the scope? Do you have another scope you can try? (It could be loose bits in the scope). Make sure al the screws etc are snugged up and not loose.
it's all back together every thing how it should be.
did a quick bore sight in the lounge cleaned the scope lenses as its a Tasco world class so just need to shoot it tommorow

if it doesn't shoot I will put on one of my good 30mm tube scopes and see what the story is

Good luck, not that it is luck you are wanting....ALll the best. With the Tasco scope, I do not think they made a lefty....but when testing, take a spare scope with you. It saves another trip. Batter yet set one u on a spare set of rings so all you have to do is swap the whole lot......
There's a book case in the way of your 100m range:XD:!
Replace book case with barn door, job done
Thats good that you seem to have found the cause, the loose scope base would definitely be causing that. Hopefully with an improved trigger aswell those groups will shrink.
Probably nothing wrong with the equipment, I'd say shooter error lol
lol hey you little homo when I see you at toby's shoot I will sort you out!
I shot it last night and it's going way better.
managed a 1.5 inch group at a hundy and that's with a 10 pound trigger.
I shot a tikka straight after and just about had a premature let off!

You can adjust the trigger.
Did mine, think there was something on Youtube about it ?
Nice crisp let off, now
From memory, Mossberg 'borrowed' Savages trigger design.
When you take the stock off, Check that the front screw isn't bottoming out on the barrel thread as was a mates 300wm 4x4 Mossy. Filed it down and was away racing!
my mate who owns it has taken it hunting so will see if he has had a shot at a moving target and wants to persevere with the trigger/rifle.
it has a pretty murky Tasco w/c on it to top it off!
I suggested a trigger job bedding job and suppressor and a vx3i.
at least he will then have a good scope and can to put on a new tikka!
