Thread: Chassis options for Howa Mini action rifle

Looking for people's opinions on chassis systems for the Howa Mini. It appears that options currently are relatively limited in variety (Oryx, EXCL) and stock in NZ. What is everyone else using? MDT also makes a chassis for Brownells but getting firearm related items in the post might have worse odds than playing roulette in the casino.

Ive got a MDT LSS XL on mine. Using a Magpul CTR with cheek riser for the buttstock. Looks a little bit funny with the lightweight barrel but works well. Try Stu at Target Dynamics International if you go for the MDT.

@NZShoota thanks for the photo mate. Looks like a nice rig. Note your comment about looking funny but I’ve a varmint model so might fill out the chassis nicely. Got in touch with Stuart from Target Dynamics and he said he has incoming stock in approx 2 weeks. But that sounds like most retailers/importers in NZ. See it to believe.

Actually the odds on the roulette wheel are about 97% (36 of 37). Return to player. If you put a chip on every number on the wheel you will bet 37 chips and will have 36 chips afterwards....(lose 1) So our odds of getting it through customs are likely MUCH WORSE.......(to put that into perspective, pub pokies have a return to player of about 85% and Lotto is closer to 55% - If you make $100 of bets, then at the end you should have $85 (Pubs) or $55 (Lotto)) This is theoretical and is measured in much bigger numbers so over the short term there can be massive variations, but over millions of spins on a pokie machine or roulette wheel, the odds do come to a much more consistent hold.

@PommyMcPomFace Is that the carbine version? Can't tell from your pictures as there is no castle nut but the chassis end appears to be the same as NZShoota. So if its a carbine version and a future split in the pipeline, I will be interested for a reasonable price.

Just under 9lbs as pictured which surprised me as it feels lighter than that.
