    Firing pin protrusion should be min of about 0.040”…does it Missfire and leave a shallow impression ….what is the gun then I can better understand your other issue…..cheers

    The rifle is a Sako 75, IV action.
    It doesn't missfire, and the impression on the primer looks normal. Although this is on fire formed cases (bumped ~0.002"), I haven't tried it on new cases.
