Your initial comment HtBbls was spot-on and you weren't in any way rude in my opinion.

Swapping out barrels is a far more extreme version of running multiple loads in the same gun- plenty of things to go wrong, let alone the time-wasting. You'd need a range at home to make swapping barrels tolerable, and even then, you'd tire of it quickly.
