BSA Monarchs and Majestic's had real troublesome chambers. I have read of the same problem with the BSA Hunter.
After a few weeks hunting you could hardly shut bolt or extract fired case. I know the problem was mostly caused by loading rounds into the magazine with bloody hands and the blood was probably cooking onto the chamber walls.
And yet I never had the same problem with any other make of rifle.
We used to have to polish the shit out of the chambers with steel wool just to carry on shooting.
perhaps only in 222/223? My majestic in 308 had such a large chamber fired cases came out looking like a 284 body.
