My guess is that it's an 64 action with the bolt handle being above the trigger, and that it's an early 1415/1416. 1415s have a birch stock and 1416s have a walnut stock. The 1966 1415 that I had a while back had a silver bolt with a straight handle and a birch stock with a sharply angled front end of the stock. It didn't have a model number stamped on it. Here's a page with an Anschutz ad from Shooter's Bible in the 60's. These rifles were also called '64 Sporters before the 1415/16 name was used and Savage sold the same rifle as a Savage 141m.
