Got to be a first where this number of mssa and handguns are stolen from a legally endorsed and vetted safe?
I notice the Stuff.co.nz article had a google maps picture of the address.....
Not Street View - but actual map!
The question that occurs to me most is who has 23 hand guns? If you are a pistol club armourer holding for a bunch of members yet to get their B endorsement you might but really? 23?
i thought i'd be happy with my XD for IPSC shooting.
then i discovered action and got a Tanfoglio.
with the price of ammo, i thought a Ruger would help out with the training.
but then someone introduced me to speed steel and it i enjoy it best with a .45.
and now i'm thinking of trying IPSC, action, etc with a revolver…
it just creeps up on ya, y'know.
Could all have been on a C endorsement. 23 Webleys or some shit
@Gibo has his taped to the back of his scrotum. Not obvious at all until he bends over. Ha ha ha ha wait for it.......
I think he's made a purse out of a pigs ear @Rushy
Problem is, most of those scum know that it can take 6-8 weeks for insurance to be dealt with so they can expect an unwelcome visit again in a couple months when the new shiney arrives.....Why do you think the cnuts break older TVs and appliances etc that are hard to sell? Because the new ones they get will be easy to sell and worth more........
And now every thief, scumbag and oxygen waster will have seen the invite too...
Today someone told me who the victim was, and what else was stolen alongside the firearms. I really hope it isn't true because it's some extremely bad news for pistol shooters in Otago. I don't want to elaborate and start a panic in case it isn't accurate but watch this space. =(
I would like to know how they gained access to the safe.

The cops need to start kicking the doors of gang pads and wannabe's,junkies etc over this one. 23 pistols don't get stolen by chance.
It's actually not that difficult and considering the modern age and ease of access to guides etc...

I'll just leave that there.
"Police should collect all the members’ guns, which included sniper rifles, and secure them until the crime was solved, he said."
Got to love the little wording and connotations 'sniper' has, not long range target rifle?
Why does the club armeror have a list anyway?
Nzda dont have a list of mine.

Well that would be dumb wouldn't it.
It's one thing to break into a reasonably good safe, it's another to do it and leave the scene completely sterile forensically - short of torching the joint on the way out. The person doing the robbery most certainly won't be doing this kind of thing for the first time, and there's every chance he/they will be known to police. I hope they don't get the usual wet bus ticket
