Thread: Dual purpose scopes

I run a Leupold VX5 3-15x44 Firedot Duplex reticle on my 6.5creedmoor Tikka for exactly what you're trying target shooting / hunting combo, good magnification, clear glass and adjustable parallax for the long range and small stuff, tough well made scope, bit more weight than some single purpose options but still light enough to carry around the hills, on a low magnification for bigger game. Gathers light great.
I was reluctant to splash the cash on it at first but really happy I did in the end.
