    Folding Stock Bolt Action Rifle?

As far as I can tell there is no law against having a bolt action rifle with folding or telescopic stock which after being folded/retracted still has an overall length of more than 762mm.

If that is correct, then why do we not see rifles or after market stocks with folding/telescopic feature? would that make carrying the rifle in a hunt easier and still maintain good barrel length?

I think it would be a pain in the butt.
If you just have it short for carrying, you will take longer to get set up for the inevitable deer you stumble across when least expecting it.
If you have a short stock while shooting (e.g to have a longer barrel but still a short overall length) you would need the trigger way forward of the action, as well as the scope, so would need a custom made bolt action, or significant modifications/additions, to fit your aftermarket stock.

Why would you need the trigger far forward? Length of pull? And eye relief?

Id like to see some shit in the media jump all over a picture of your rifle...... id bet it gets labeled as an ar15 type assault rifle, sure has the look of a killing machine with zero hunting potential!
    Use enough gun

    - T3 in .308 Win, barrel has been cut to 14" and fluted. Bolt has been fluted and receiver lightening cut.
    - Sitting in a MDT LSS chassis with Magpul furniture. Takes AICS pattern magazines.
    - Topped off with a Vortex strike Eagle 1-6 sitting in direct mount Talley rings.

Weighs 3.5kg loaded and is nice to carry and fits in my daypack.

It kinda has a Steyr AUG look to it.

Really needs a large bolt handle to finish it off.
Maybe a Sterk swept bolt handle.

Similar to the Mossberg MVP LC.

It's ok for carrying in general, but you would not want to carry it folded when actively hunting (deer or anything noise sensitive) as you don't want to be folding it into place when a deer is standing in front of you due to the potential for noise. (generally folding stocks lock into place with a "click" noise).

Originally it had a folding adapter on it but I opted for a collapsible stock instead. Can be easily fired accurately in the reduced state as the Magpul ASC-L stock is a good length for me.
