Just been to the sika show and saw their rifles picked one up and was pretty impressed. Anyone here got one? Thoughts?

Looks a fair bit like a banard action but in titanium....

There seemed to be a familiar face there perhaps previously from Southport Engineering ??.
I’m sure I heard someone mention Hardy carbon wrapped barrels which scared the shit out of me so I left smartly….

Yes have done load validation on a lightweight hardy carbon barreled 308. Some nice touches with machining but action is not to my liking it binds because of the steel/titanium interaction. Shoot very well out to 550metres but the Hardy thing scared me as well.

Yes had a play with a couple, agree the actions were quite "bindy". Also the weight achieved wasn't worth the price to be honest. With a 3.1kg, locked and loaded, Kimber at home that cost me all of about $2k with a suppressor, it's hard to justify the $6-9k cost of several rifles (not just Glacier) around. I also have a Christensen Arms titanium actioned rifle, with the bolt coated in some for of nitrde coating which is very slick, I think that new was 1/2 the price of the customs and I couldn't seem the value.
I'm looking out for a bit of innovation rather than just swapping materials and building the same stuff.

I think they have kind of missed the mark. Going all titanium has downsides and they don't seem to have got the weight benefit when I'm fairly certain a defiance anTi is lighter and has more aftermarket support
. It seems to be made for the sake of it rather than improving any current offerings.

Someone in the know told me they are mixed - some good, some terrible. Apparently very little interest in customer support when a bad one turns up.

Truflite cheaper, much more consistent and great customer service.

I’d suggest looking at other options……

100% accurate, if you get one and it has issues you’d better have heroic levels of patience and a different rifle to use.

Interesting. I've read a few people having problems with their suppressors from outright failing to general QC issues and average customer service but I've not heard bad things about their barrels.

Kind of sad as I liked the idea of the Hardy Hybrid but I just couldn't afford to pay all that money and have one not be up to snuff if I paid all that cash.

I had a Gen 5 suppressor pop didn't even try get anywhere as I got it second hand. I've heard of a few barrels not working out and there's atleast on member on here that builds rifles that won't use them IIRC.
