Pretty derogative statement towards another members gear and their for sale thread.

As I no Nick he won't mind
He won't have any trouble selling his scope as the vortex fan club is huge.
I refrain from commenting on his or others sale thread as that's just wrong.

People have a misconception that Swarovski is hell expensive,
    A Z5 is now less $ than a Vx6
A Z3 is now the same as a vortex pst
The Swaro has the advantage that you can actually see through the glass.
Your standards are obviously much higher than mine, and fair enough, but even with my ageing eyes I still don't seem to have any trouble seeing through my Leupold, Bushnell, Weaver or Nikon scopes. It's when I don't have optical help I struggle.

    Any indication of budget?
This would narrow things down a lot.
Obviously as soon as you give a top dollar people will start saying "save a little more for the better (more expensive) one. You won't regret it".

Also keep an eye out for Nikko Night eaters or Nikko Target masters. They are not as good as the far more expensive brands but they are reasonbly priced and for what you get they are decent value for money. Pick up a NEW 8-32x50 for around $650. (slightly less than that from memory) or a 4-16 for around $400 (Also brand New)

PM me if either of these are in your budget. The two target masters I have here are the Japanese made ones with japanese glass before the followed Leupold, Redfield et al to the Phillipines, Indonesia and china assembly plants.

Usually good and cheap don't go together as far as optics go but bang for buck it's hard to go past the leupold vx3i range also the sightron s3 scopes are bloody good.

I like the Vortex Viper PST 4x 16 I paid around $1350 and if you want to pay less around $800 try the Vortex Diamondback 4x16 x44 HP. There are a lot better around but they command a higher price. So far no trouble with the Vortex's

If you can find a second hand leupold mk4 they're actually not a bad scope...
