    A 200g tube of dow corning silicone ht o ring grease has been lasting years

    I use this also, it's super convenient in the glue stick form, don't even have to touch it sometimes just twist the threads on the edge of it. Then wipe clean after tightening.

    Actually I use LB 8060, not 8070. Seems like I should swap.

    I keep it on all the time. Never noticed any excessive heat. Don't normally fire a lot of rounds in succession though. It can't be any worse than the neoprene ones supplied with some surpressors though.
    Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

    I have used white lithium grease. It works well but the real key is to take it apart regularly.
