About LinkBacksvery unusual scope mounting ststem.....guess it is very robust as nothing poking out front to get bent,unusaul all the same,cant say Ive ever seen front ring like that before. beautiful rifle,hope it serves you well...the deer in front of it will surely drop just seeing the gaping muzzle.

Its a quick detachable claw mount system. I don't know if all claw mounts are 'quick detach' but this one is. It unclips at the rear mount, and tilts forward 45 degrees to disengage the front claws, so Im guessing that it mounts on the front of the scope so that there is sufficient clearance to tilt it up. As long as I can find other scopes with a 1.5" front objective lense then I have other options, but the glass in this one is clear enough, I hope it holds zero..
