I have looked at one a number of times at Custom Guns - to be honest memories of a mates Howa rusting up on a trip hold me back - not even sure if that is still the problem it used to be approx 13-15 years ago

New stock for an existing rifle. Thanks to Tentman haunting his local shops bargain bin. Howa in 308.

The next job is to pull finger and work up a load for it.

Yup Dannyb is onto it. Oryx stock, poor mans chassis made by MDT in Canada. It's not a light weight set up! As pictured it's sitting on 6kg. With a thin profile 22" barrel.

Thanks yes they are cerakoted but still carbon steel so plenty of surfaces to rust. If I wasn’t thinking for a bush/adventure rifle would go for it. But plenty of experience in the Longwoods, Dean, Hauroko area comes with plenty of good and wet hunts
