300 Rum is generally a single feed when running big projectiles seated out even on a long action so I figure it's better to have a shorter, lighter action.

New Cooper 92 in 300 win, first time out, 200gr ELD-x Hornardy factory seams to shoot well, 180 federal blue box not so much,
Its pretty light 7lbs 4 oz, 3.2kg, so a Kg lighter than my 300H&H, pretty lively, but I am at moa out as far as 300m, of course cant find another box of Hornardy 200gr, but have Redding dies on order.
picked up 190gr Accubonds and 200gr ELD-X and have partions on hand.
Fitted a Z6 3x18 with BRH, bought used.
Attachment 75874
Attachment 75875 300m, three shots, in the top, the single on the bottom is my 6x45, 75gr HP.
Yea it probably wood, but its a hunting rifle, and I hate brakes with a passion, I will get a suppressor, for it, once its back in NZ, I can shoot it well enough, and have harder kicking rifles, its a typical light weight rifle and is slappy and hard to shoot well, consistency. I've only just got it, and am still getting used to it, and developing a couple loads, then I will move the 300H&H on.
All that muzzle brake will do is give muzzle brakes a bad name :oh noes:
Very nice rifle BTW
Loud, obnoxious and antisocial, brakes regardless of performance have a bad name as a birth right.
yep,
three rounds in the mag takes it to 7lbs 7 oz.
Bare rifle was 5lbs 7 oz, not bad, esp as the action length, is good for a 300 H&H sized case. They only $200-250 more, than a Sako carbon light, from prophet river in Firearms in Canada, was going to order in a 280 AI, 7mm mag or 6.5x284, when the 300win came up,
Same girl new dress.

Bare rifle weight before 3.444kg
And after replacing the Sako stock and bottom metal with a Stug stock and alloy trigger guard its 2.691kg for a saving of 0.753kg or over one and a half pounds lighter![emoji106]
