The modest WW II collection so far:
* 1944 byf (Oberndorf) Mauser K98k
* 1942 Husqvarna "Swedish Mauser"
* 1942 (ROF Maltby) Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk2
Next on the list:
* Mosin Nagant 1891/30
* Type 38 Arisaka
* M1 Garand
* MAS-36
* M1891 Carcano
I think I know of a carcano that could be had..... Wouldn't be near the top of my own list though. A MAS or an arisaka I'd have in a heart beat. Garands are a wee bit expensive for me to consider, and Mosins don't really do it for me (had a nice one, sold it on pretty quick).
Interesting you only have one semi on the list.
I would add: (stuff I have actually seen in NZ, rather than just dreaming of)
M1 carbine (a nice one)
De Lisle (yeah yeah would have to be a copy I guess)
G-41 or 43
Ljungman
SVT40
StG44
A few varieties of Sten.
Reminds me, I need to get my C sorted asap
Need French MAS 36...and leads appreciated.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...281cda4e7e.jpg

Ja I was trying to focus on bolt-action rifles but then M1 Garand entered my stream of consciousness and I then arrived at the depressing reality that in terms of availability and affordability, there's a pretty big drop-off when one starts talking G43s and StG 44s.
Nice collection:cool:
