One thing I will say
If you have a rifle that shoots & have ammo - don't sell it bro
Looks like plinking is taking a backburner for a while
This is outta the "hunters & Burglars" catalogue from last Spring 2020, what a different a year makes aye
PS - thats a 3 box deal on the right

Yikes, ya might need to buy them in singles soon
That's a bugger, both my 308's are sighted in with Rem Corlokt. Once thats out it's going to be experiment time again and at todays prices thats going to hurt
What a joke absolutely ludicrous pricing.
Just have to ride it out till the nutbags settle down and the supply gets back to normal. Same happened when Obama got in and all the chickens littles were buying up ammo like it was the zombie apocalypse
ouch.....
Latest hunt and burg cataloge don't list prices for federal ammo
Saw some 7mm blaser mag ammo for sale online for 175 for a box of 20 it's Norma stuff and I just wanted to buy one box to see what it goes like but apparently sold out and none coming for atleast 12 months. Wtf

I've got a 308, and a box of ammo that is rapidly catching up to the rifle in value... :wtfsmilie:
Not a misprint

Don'tcha just love the feeling of having stocked up 5 years ago with a lifetimes supply, and then this happens:cool:
Can't afford to change calibres, but thats a small price to pay.
You can get 300 win mag blue box for cheaper than that 6.5x55 box.... both from guncity.
They are really picking on 6.5mm
Bluebox is handloaded by Buddha himself in his garden shed. You can't put a price on performance
Its so much cheaper to reload these days, yaknow, seeing as you can barely buy any components theres nothing to spend money on
I'd suggest turning to .22lr for all plinking needs, but even that is sneaking up in price at an uncomfortable rate. CCI standard used to be $60-65 per 500, now $90-110, IF you can find it
There’s totally a reason why my little 25gr of powder burning rifle is the only one getting used at the moment. Makes a kg of powder last a while….
You lot bought shares in Belmont yet?
Fed blue box 6 5 swede $93 at reloaders last week - the guy looked sheepishly guilty selling it to me at that price....

And my mates laughed hard when I was forced to buy a large safe just for the ammo.
Seems I made a wise choice with the 25-303 then. Still costs nothing to shoot, provided the WW11 cases hold up, it still dribbles a 6.5 mm 100gr bullet out at 2650fps behind 35gr of AR2208.
Back to the good ole days when a box of 20 hunting ammo lasted 20 yrs
These prices make my .308 target shooting reloads affordable.
$0.20 Barrel replacement (5000 rounds per barrel)
$0.40 Powder (approx 3 grammes per reload)
$0.15 Case replacement (minimum 11 firings per case)
$0.10 Primer
================
$0.85 SUBTOTAL
================
Projectiles from $0.00/ea (sponsored) to $1.00/ea (imported direct)
So reloads $0.85 to $1.85 / ea.
As someone who purchases the ammo for a store, I can tell you prices are going up all the time, federal 6.5x55 is expensive bought the last norma Alaska cheaper, more than norma, most of the common calibres are $59.99 at the moment, but the next delivery of Remington is going to push-up the price, who knows what the other manufacturers are going to charge.
