    Fed blue box 6 5 swede $93 at reloaders last week - the guy looked sheepishly guilty selling it to me at that price....

    And my mates laughed hard when I was forced to buy a large safe just for the ammo.

    Seems I made a wise choice with the 25-303 then. Still costs nothing to shoot, provided the WW11 cases hold up, it still dribbles a 6.5 mm 100gr bullet out at 2650fps behind 35gr of AR2208.

    These prices make my .308 target shooting reloads affordable.

    $0.20 Barrel replacement (5000 rounds per barrel)
    $0.40 Powder (approx 3 grammes per reload)
    $0.15 Case replacement (minimum 11 firings per case)
    $0.10 Primer
    ================
    $0.85 SUBTOTAL
    ================

    Projectiles from $0.00/ea (sponsored) to $1.00/ea (imported direct)

    So reloads $0.85 to $1.85 / ea.

    As someone who purchases the ammo for a store, I can tell you prices are going up all the time, federal 6.5x55 is expensive bought the last norma Alaska cheaper, more than norma, most of the common calibres are $59.99 at the moment, but the next delivery of Remington is going to push-up the price, who knows what the other manufacturers are going to charge.

    GC used to have 5 box deals which worked out cheaper, now I see that they have a '5 box deal' which is just price of one box times 5. No need for them to discount it would seem. People will pay if they need it.
