There is also a disconnect between what the owner paid for a new high end item ,the used market and the current cost of the new high end item.

There are a few Rigby "Highland stalkers" that have been on the market sporadically for years here. The owners want somewhere between what they paid a decade ago and the new price which is pure fantasy.

Things sell for the right price in any market,its the market that sets the price.Sadly for a new generation of shooters a Rigby/Greener/Mauser is just an "old fashioned gun".
