The Howa and Tikka stocks drop in or used to, you could certainly bed them but it is generally not needed.
My med lenght action needed bedding but that was a one off build

Tikka with a D18 barrel, but they mentioned bedding before I mentioned the barrel. Standard Tikka otherwise.
