About LinkBacksMy binos are 8x40 (mid range glass $1k), Wouldn't go back to 10x, Pick up more animals quicker. Was holding my binos up and yacking to Brian at the same time yesterday. Half concentrating and just sort of glancing but stopped mid sentence when I spotted 2 Fallow bucks on the edge of the frame. Thats the sort of extra advantage the fov offers.
Not sure about $5k for glass - my $1k Tract are just fine (and a range finder on my belt). But get what floats your boat.
