I put a 4.5-14x50 30mm tube side focus CDS on my brothers 300 wsm. Seemed to work ok and tracked well. No complaints.

Have dialed out past 1000 & back no issues so far

I have a 4.5-14x50 with side paralax and cds.
Its been scratched bumped knocked dropped rolled bowled and Arse holed.
Outside doesn't look so flash anymore but it still works lenses are mint and has never fogged up unlike EVERY other scope i have ever owned.
Dials accurately as far as i can tell and the low profile turret was the main selling point for me at the time. Im sure i would have knocked of a big target turret by now.
Only issue i have had was when it was strapped on the side of my pack for 6 hours it moved half a turn.
Quick look down bore tells you if your a turn out.

I had a great run out of vx3 scopes until my last one which had a piece of seal floating in the tube and eventually it fogged. Obviously fixed under warranty.

A while ago there was talk somewhere on the net (may have been american forum) about them being pieces of crap...

    Can't fault mine.
On a dedicated lr rifle you probably want the big micrometer style turrets but then your probably not lookin at a vx3 anyway.

Do the CDS have a return to zero stop like the new nightforce and the Vortex PST?
