Leupold VX2 CDS - best way to stop dial accidentally rotating when bush hunting

My mate rocked up with his new to him VX2 3-9x40 CDS, and was surprised when it did not have the locking dial like my VX5HD.
I 3D printed up a cover for it to stop it moving when he's out bush hunting.

Just wondering if anyone has different / better options for stopping the elevation dial moving? It's a multi purpose gun, so putting a capped dial on it isn't what he's after.

Yes, I know I printed with the seam on the front and not the back.

Ball bearing (and a drill if the dial doesn't have the indent already)

Cheers Ryan. Now has a zero stop, but can still spin in one direction. 50% better than it was
Now I just need to teach him to dial back until it hits zero, rather than assuming it's on zero.

I had the same. Sent it to Nioa and for about $200 nzd equivalent changed the CDS to a Z lock like on your VX5HD.
