About LinkBacksI think the value of the AR-7 is it's weight (2 1/2 pounds) and compactability- you can throw it in a small daypack. It's not for survival, but more for handy plinking (rabbits, possums, etc) on a tramping/fishing trip. They were designed originally as a US Airforce crew survival rifle. They are sufficiently accurate at short ranges.
