You might get away with boring some holes in the butt section. That would require making up a plug to cap it off though. Possibly would mess with the balance too, make it quite front heavy when all done.

Totally agree and maybe a bit around the action. Its going to grow a bit when wrapped. I guess keep going until it just feels like you went a touch to far and the wrap should bring it back right. Well in theory anyway.

You could drill holes and cap with small bit of dowel so the resin cant get in but the holes still present inside the butt. Id think you could easily drop 50grams plus by doing this.

Thanks for your thoughts, Its going to be front heavy anyways so if I bore holes in the butt looking to drop 35 grams and then a bit more in the barrel channel (Id rather cut the inside than the outside so I still have something to hold on to lol) I may achieve my 450g and Ill not notice the balance difference with 20 odd grams one way or the other.
