    The VX6 isn't a bad option but if you want FFP then it's not a very good option.
    I don't get to hung up on ffp or sfp, I dial windage and elevation. A simple retical that's useable, xmas trees are a pain in the ass.

    A scope that has good glass, tracks reliably and is a good upgrade over the vortex

    If you can find a used March for you budget then I'd say that's the way to go.
    Good history with reliable tracking, good glass, simple reticle in most of the 3-24 models, not too heavy, 30mm tube.
