Thread: Long shot - Sako Forester AII - where are you now???

Heres a real long shot... my second centrefire rifle, .308 calibre, bought brand new from James Smiths Wellington (yes they sold rifles in their sports department!) in about 1984. Serial number 353356 ( I loved that rifle... even remember the serial number). It was pretty original when I traded it (on a 75 finnlite) at Hunting & fishing Lower Hutt (Alicetown) about 1998/99.
What ever happened to that rifle?
Who owns it now?

Sako AII in .308,
Serial# 353356,
No open sights on the rifle - grub screws (though they may have been with the rifle),
pachmayer recoil pad rather than the plastic one it came with.
recrowned, but bore in good nick,
Had a Redfield Partner 3 - 9 scope on it in original sako rings when I sold it
Sold by H&F lower Hutt Alicetown about 1998/99.
Was very tidy, re-blued from wear.

Shot a lot of deer with that rifle, red, whitetail, sika, tahr and chamois.

Would love to hear where that is now, will try and dig out some pics!!
