Thread: Longest continuously owned firearms

I think we have played this game before.
But @dannyb just inspired me to ask again.

What is the longest continuously owned firearm you have that you brought yourself ?

The question is intended to take our family heirlooms from this post

So what you brought, why you brought it and why you still have it.

Mine is a left hand Anschutz 22 LR I brought 40 years ago with Hilver steel mounts and a 2-7 Leupold.
The only LH model they offered was pretty high end and expensive.
But there's a lesson there in buying right and it only hurts once.
It still does exactly what it was brought too do and as well as any other rifle since.

I expect there will be some of you that can significantly improve on 40 years
