Thread: Marlin 925r trigger mod. What spring to use?

I've picked up a Marlin 925r and took it to the range last weekend.

The trigger is terrible. So much so that I couldn't really shoot accurately, having to apply so much force to it. I want to be able to squeeze the trigger, not perform a finger workout.

So I've looked online and the trigger spring mod looks straightforward.

However, I want to know if anyone here has done the mod and can recommend a spring/pen.

Just so I dont have to break all my pens searching for the right spring and then sit here doing endless trial and error.

If ist the same single stage trigger as in the old models you can just use a pen spring and little bit of metal for a spacer. Theres a few how tos online for it.

I did it to my old marlin and it made a decent difference

I have one of those and it has a wonderful trigger. I havnt looked but I bet someone has done what you are talking about before I got it. Just saying there is a possibility you can get that trigger real good...
