I was cleaning my rifle this morning so took a chance to weigh and take a couple photos of the stock, Hi Tech/KH carbon stock, was the first time Ken did one for an 85 so unlike his T3/Remington stocks it's full custom inlet and bedded by him, doesn't run an alloy bedding block, he done a real top job of it, really tidy inletting and bedding.

Bang on 500 grams with integrated Sako recoil lug, deccelerator pad, and x2 sling studs, this thing is light!

The fully integrated/enclosed barrel channel is nice also, no exposed filler like some carbon stocks, and he was great to deal with!

workmanship looks to be top notch. It's very cool to have a local guy that can deliver...you wouldn't want to have had my experience with a now defunct NZ Carbon stock producer.....

I have had one of each of the kiwi made stocks and would put them as the pick of the bunch, I would probably choose them over a McMillan (have had one also, all though briefly as was on a rifle I bought then sold without ever firing) you could not ask for a better fit and finish, light as they come, strong, and competitively priced. I didn't like the Kiwi Composites stock as they are massively oversized through the rear grip and the entire inside of the stock was exposed foam filler which I thought wasn't a very strong design (basically an open shell over filler with exposed carbon fibre edges that looked like they could peel or chip away) finish was up there though, and I see their new NZ Hunter model is a more traditional design without the oversized grip area.
