    Military Webbing for carrying equipment.

Anybody used the PLCE or Molle type system of webbing for hunting? I carry GPS, rangefinder, binos, dropchart, windmeter, ammo etc. It would be good to be able to access alot of these quickly without having to take off a backpack and rummage around to find it. The advantage is also being able to customise and adjust for different hunting scenarios. Thoughts?

No but SADF Pattern 83 chest webbing, if you ever come across it, is quite useful too.

bum bags are worth looking at, advantage with a pack is that some come with a canvas liner so you can keep meat clean and carry it out

suppose if you wanted to look like rambo and catch on vines and stuff sure, depends on your hunting area

Wear a chest rig goat shooting, carry spare mags, snacks, water gps, dump pouch. Very practical. Thinking about a chest panel for normal hunting - gps, range finder, binos, bipod, phone, anonemeter (?) in pouches on the front.

Buy a blank MOLLE chest panel and add minimal pouches, just for things you want easy access too.

Online, eBay, Amazon etc. Condor gear is good for the money. That's all you really need. High end gear can cost a fortune.

I like this from cactus. Lose the rattly zip levers and fit some made from marlin line with crimps. Its quiet as now .

Man those zips levers were noisy !!

protects your gear for sure but quick to get your hands to it.

Mesh back so it wont cook you and keeps the wind out if you re walking into it.

Watch for their sales it was 1/2 price when I got it . Don't think I d own it if it was full price though. Good gear mind you .

I fixed my rattly zips by covering them in 2-pack epoxy like Araldite - dried slightly rubbery so they still grip but quiet

It just makes sense to me.

Modern military load carrying equipment has been designed to be rugged, lightweight and modular. The same attributes any hunter or outdoors man/woman would consider important for gear selection.

A slimline molle belt (AKA war belt) can comfortably carry all the equipment required for for quick access while hunting; monocular, magazine, knife, first aid kit, canteen and GPS. For those not wanting a belt rig, a compact chest rig such as a OSOE Micro Chest Rig would carry most of the required gear.

Some may accuse you of trying to be rambo, but this is the 21st century we aren't carrying a musket and deeskin bag of shot and powder anymore. Nothing wrong with change, some people are just scared of it. If that bothers you, you can order your gear in pink from OSOE.

I might be a bit biased as I have a closet full of military gear and I now need to find a new use for it.

I bought this British Army BELTKIT/ Webbing | Outpost Supplies NZ Ltd. to cart my stuff around in the Gunslinger match, and it worked well. I shifted the useful pockets to the front and side to leave the back clean to be able to carry my rifle pack. Well adaptable to do what you want, I think

You could just carry less stuff.
If you doing shots that need the dropchart, rangefinder and windmeter then odds on you have time to unpack a standard backpack without rushing. Just my thoughts.
