I grew up shooting .22/250’s, shooting Roos for skins and carcass for pet food on the western Queensland plains.
In those days it was all 55 gn pills at 3500 fps. Good to the edge of the spotlight ~320 meters. Soft recoil, accurate flat and easy to shoot.
We had to head shoot for pet food, chest shots ok for skins.
Very explosive and lots of tissue damage with body shots. Head shots often produced jelly bags of pulp.
Thar, from your photo it looks like way more tissue damage with the heavy soft pills than what you would see with 120/130 gn pills in a 6.5, .260. CM etc?
