Sighted in for 74 grn Targex today.
Very accurate - bullets touching for successive 3 shot groups.
42.5 grns R17.
Trajectory trued out to 514 yds at 3450 fps using Bryne's/Targex's BC.
Will be interesting to see how they perform on deer at this velocity.
Also interesting that this 74 grn has been the best grouping bullet and it's a 1:7 twist. I would have expected the heavier 80 and 88 to do better. Not that they are slouches.
Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.
You must have got a lucky accurate batch Bruce!
I do try to make the most accurate bullets I can.
Wasn't a Friday when I made your ones!![]()
Hey I'm thinking of rejoining the 22 CM crew . . . How do y'all think a 18" Hardy CF barrel would go shoe-horned into a Kimber 84M, might have to get creative round the Knox area but . . . Should turn out handy and light!

After having one for a while I just think a similar weight conventional barrel is just as good with far less cost . . . In other words I found the claims made for CF barrels to be grossly overstated, I can't see any advantage from the one I have.
Not all carbon barrels are created equal

I would agree with just as good I like steel barrels personally, I have a proof on one rifle and it shoots just as good as the steel bartliens iv had and have 2b is my go to the proof is lighter and longer but they are expensive and certainly don’t shoot any better iv got a tikka profile ace on the way which gives me the hebbies but im sure a .224 will end up with more steel around the bore than my 2bs do in.284. A flutted 2b is my happy place
