    Thanks, advice taken.
    Im thinking of with suppressor and a heavy scope.
    Dont laugh but my 7mm08 kicked fairly hard till I put those on and now its barely noticeable. I think with a good stock, suppressor and avoiding flute/ short barrel we can handle bigger cartridges and get less recoil than in the old days. A heavy scope above the bore line also helps a bit reducing jump ( but it still jumps ).

    @Bagheera

    I'm actually keen on a big 7 myself, something lightweight, but I've had a painful to shoot rifle before and it isn't fun.

    Agree on suppressor etc. I run a 16" browning lightweight 308 with a dpt and lightweight 1-6 swaro scope. The kick isn't hard and all and it is nice to shoot, it's the dpt that calms it.

    Just not sure it would be the same deal with a light 7mm magnum, too bad we can't try before we buy.

    Duleys done write up in last two magazines. Edition 100 and 101.
    Bloody in-depth wrote up. It’s a bloody good read.

    Tested one piece of ADG brass as well. Got 35 firings out of it before it wouldn’t hold primer.

    If Tikka bring out a factory version I’d definitely look at changing to 7mm cartridge.

    Close but he simply ran out of places on the rim to file notches. The pocket still held the primer well.

    Wouldn’t you just load and shoot one bit until it was done no need to notch it when it’s a test piece separating it would have being sufficient . I’m a huge fan of Adg for this reason

    I guess the new breaked suppressors (DPT and Maniatis) are going to help here.

    Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.
