    VC how did you go with the lever ?
    I got to shoot one last week, a winchester old one, love the fact straight iron sights, I'm looking at the marlin 336, shit load of ammo selection for them, the winchester is like double the price.
    336(c/w) going for round $899 ish give or take
    Might get it in Jan some time .
    Grouchy Smurf had it right all along...

    Pretty much that and its been over 15 years since I chased deersies so have exactly FA in the way of equipment.
    Not too mention being somewhat "round" in stature is not that aerodynamic for hill climbing.
    However descents are another matter entirely!!!!!!

    Oh and the work thing is a pain too, seem to always be there

    Fatty and fatty were climbing a hill....

    My fitness is below where it should be and a little overweight at 97kg. Climbing hills I take my time so I don't start huffing and puffing in case a deer pops up and can't hold the scope still
