No doubt it will retail around the carbon light price.

Eurooptic is taking pre-orders and charging US$1600. That will no doubt become NZ$6000 by the time we see them.

Looks like a Sako /TIKKA hybrid. No doubt done that way to cut manufacturing costs , it will be grossly overpriced because its a Sako . I'M picking 3499.00 retail .

Hybrid chassis stocks seems to be the trend of this year ( mdr, magpul...)
And the number of sales of high end rifles in Europe like the blaser and sauer 404 carbon that can be quickly and conveniently taken apart for the traveling hunter must have made Sako to rethink about that side of the market.
They have also thought about the prs type shooters.
Their picatinny rail seems at 0 Moa. Not that big a deal with nowadays scopes with large internal adjustments but 15 or even 10 Moa built in would have been an extra benefit feature.
I hope that the barrels will have the same thread pattern and headspace as the current tikka and Sako . If it is pressed into the receiver like the sauer 100 ,101 and Mauser m18 that might make things harder to change barrels over at a later stage.
Will there be a stainless version?
What is going to be the internal length of the magnum magazines? ( thinking about 300 prc and the nosler here for the future?)

Barrels are not pressed in. No idea of thread pitch but id think it will be the same for simplicity of production.
Agree an option for MOA built into the pic rails would be a good idea. Iv not seen a magnum version yet but I will measure the external dimensions of a 308mag when I can (same external dimensions as the magnums), which should at least give an indication of potential length.
I would think the headspace specs etc were the same as everything needs to work well with Sako ammo.

Fixed that for you.

First thing I thought after seeing this is "it's a Tikka with a break apart stock and a few extra features on top" the action looks and sounds exactly like a Tikka. Some might like it, but I don't. I would buy an actual Tikka before I bought one of these lol.
