Hi everyone, just arrived in this forum where i have a lot to learn from.
I been reloading for my 2x 7mm rem mag and i have a great result with the following load on them, ADI2217 at 69.5gn, federal 215 primer and mixed brass(winchester, remington and hornady) sitting at 3.280". My Tikka T3 Lite don't fit bullets longer than 3.300" and my grouping with my load is in between 1/2-3/4" at 100mts.
This load has also worked PERFECTLY with 1/2" on a Sako Finnlite without "any" alteration. Hit a A4 size plate at 550mts with this load.
Please, will love to hear more about loads for this caliber.
Welcome to the forum. Enjoy.
?
Ive used 2217 with all the 7mm mags I've had and the current one likes 162amax 74gs 2217 going at 3080fps primers just starting to flatten out no brass marks etc.
I realise this is a hottish load but it just seems to work :)
Thread revive. @burtonator that was the same load I went with (CCI mag primers/Win brass) in my HS Precision - shot 0.5" all day. My Sendero before it loved 71.5gn 2217 same bullet, swapped load to the HS and ended up pulling a bullet out when unchambering an unfired load. The new HS load was then seated deeper and the 74gn showed no pressure signs and shrunk the groups.
