Wonder what the LRF analog glass scope market is worth. I used to have a SIG scope /bino setup, loved it.
    very crisp

My wondering was if there's much of a market for digital scopes with no nightvision channel accessible at all. I prefer using the daytime modes now over normal glass because the ballistic comps are basically dead on, recording+pip+stepped zoom+saved zeroes across rifles... Etc.
Working on a getting a version of this with the new DNT 4k Zulus. Possibly disabling NV functionality via firmware. Im sure there would be other international markets for a daytime only digital scope too.

Ive put a fair bit of thought and dollars into the future of analoge vs digital over last 6 months. Our next Hunters Precision project was going to be an anologue optic. Went down the path of talking to the OEM manufacturers for GPO and EoTech. Obtained samples from the GPO OEM manufacturer for a 1.6-13x44 with their fiber optic reticle and we enhanced the spec with digital illumination for half the price of the GPO. It seemed to be the best spec for a do everything optic including the thermal clipon hack that many have an ilegitimate love afair with. It sits in a dusty box with other samples Ive played with.
I cant get past the functionality that digital offers. The age old argument of SFP vs FFP is no longer relevant in a digital world. A digital optic can still have a scaling reticle, but with an SFP stadia that is visible at all magnification ranges. Digital optics are now offering 4k images that still allow decent magnification. High resolution displays that can display a decent image and also hold information such as inclination, rotation, distance to target, ballistics info. And the chepest digital optic absolutely kills the most expensive analog optic in low light full colour. 3 Years ago none of this was available. 3 years from now who knows what will be available.
Off to Shot Show on Sunday and for me the most interesting section of the show starts one day early on monday in the Suppliers Show Case. These are all the suppliers to the industry who create the future tech. Im less interested about whats available in the main event vs whats coming. And I dont think analog is it.
