use modern - all that old stuff who knows what was in it - whale oil- shark oil- cod liver oil - tree oils - turpentine - boiled down horses - fuck knows - yes the smell is old but use modern with a scientific back ground

i'm just worried that now i'm an "older-timer" !

A few old items,
The small bottle on the right is another Parker hale product for blackening your foresight,
The orange label tin some of the first .22 rimfire ammo ever made from around 1860.
Short copper case a couple grains black powder and a .22 cal lead ball.
Made for shooting indoors from single shot pistols

I have recipe for gun oil here somewhere in book...whale oil is one of the ingredients I'm sure... I always reminded of docking/tailing lambs and jeyes fluid when I smell youngs303.
