Not worth the risk, easy enough to get those things here.
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

The risk is a conviction at either end if found to be doing something naughty.

When they find them in your luggage they then proceed with a cavity search just to see if you may have the barrel tucked up there...also your wife and children will be cavity searched...so check with your travelling companions first and see if they feel OK about that.

Lets see conviction that stays with you the rest of your life, As you mentioned perhaps a $10`000 fine. Loss of Firearms license....
Hell yeh deffinatly worth the risk for a couple of mags and a butt... LoL
Contact your AO and get a permit, post it home with approperate paperwork and you won`t have a problem. Last lot of Hi Cap mags I sent home from the States with paperwork were sitting in the mail box when I arrived after being checked by customs, that did supprise me a little.

On a risk factor scale of one to ten that idea comes in at a gazillion. Don't bother.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

You have to wonder why you would need to though. Blindingly obvious it is an idiotic idea unless you live under a rock or something ...

Internet shop and get the appropriate permits at home.

-LGS in the US will have higher prices and less selection than Brownells
-You won't have to carry the stuff in your luggage (easier)
-You won't get screwed by accidentally taking items where they're prohibited by state law (30 round mags in your bag going to CA? could be a whoops)
-You won't get screwed by customs who may not know the law and give you trouble even with permits

For the cost of the shipping, you're better off avoiding the hassles and shopping from your keyboard.
