    Replacement Zastava M85 223 Stock

I'm wondering if anyone has had any success finding a replacement stock. I currently have a synthetic one, it leaves a bit to be desired.

I have seen the Victory precision 3D printed ones but am unsure of their quality and rigidity.

    Any help welcome.

Flexing? The original stocks have a bad reputation of being a bit flexible and warping if left lying in the hot sun. They're also pressure bedded so free floating the barrel can stuff accuracy. I did it I know.
To fix it I bedded the action properly free floated the barrel channel and to give it some rigidity epoxied a fibreglass fence standard into a groove I cut. It's still my favorite 223. I had looked for replacement stocks but couldn't find anything mind you that was 12 or more years ago

Hey Marty, thanks for the reply. Yes it is flexing a lot. Barrel appears free floating, possibly needs to be re bedded and strengthened like you have mentioned.

there was a wood version that wasnt a bad stock at all, but the likelyhood of finding one is probably pretty low

Perhaps modify a CZ527 wood or laminated stock. I have seen a few around.

What in the name of everything holy is that made from. It looks as though it works but I'd really like a trigger guard.

Haha, yes that was it in build progress, it now has a trigger guard and fits a modified tikka mag. Butt end made from Paulownia and carbon and the forend is a polymer. Weighs next to nothing comparative to other AR styles

I got VTP to make a chassis system for my Zastava.

2nd pic is slightly larger length and diameter forend so my suppressor fitted in it.

Here's the link to the main core of the chassis. Then you can add whatever stock, grip, and forend you want.

Brought it today and on its way. No way I'd ever have found that. Hopefully it fits.

pretty good,I stripped varnish off mine years ago and just oil it with the cleaning rag now...... I made a superlight stock for it but shoot far better with origonal wood jobbie.
