Seriously, I really like the leupold vxr firedot scopes. In broad daylight I really like the firedot and obviously at low light it is a tremendous advantage. Also as stated at my advanced age I find the dot to be an excellent advantage. I killed a really nice doe last Saturday evening. .....had I botched the shot she would have darted into a Carolina bay which is a narl of vegetation and Briers and brambles that you can not imagine. In short, the firedot allowed me in low light to put that deer done like a sack of potatoes.... No 2 hours of searching for her.

All kidding aside.....I really like the leupold vxr firedot scopes. Why? Instant target acquisition in full light and deadly acquisition at low light. I killed a really nice doe at dusk last Saturday evening......instant humane kill....no 2 hour search and about 70/lbs. Of meat in the freezer.

Leupold vxr uses inexpensive CR 2032 batteries..... The same as used for my Toyota keyless remote. In 4 years they have never failed me while hunting. I always carry a spare.....but have never used it. I really like my first even for shooting at the range.

I have a swarvo Z6 and a March with illumination, I am not sure, weather it going to be much help, in the field hunting, but have found it very use full, when trying to get the last few groups, at dusk on the range, while doing load development.
The March 2.5x25 illuminium is very nice, and has 5 adjustment settings, in a still small compact scope.
Just filled out the export permits for a dozen rifles and shotguns, from Canada.
