Thread: Rossi single shot hammer spur

The Old Boy has bought a Rossi combination for the grandsons to hunt with instead of them carrying around a 10/22. Is there a hammer spur available for them? The grandsons can cock it ok but fat thumbs can’t get it. If not does anyone have North Canterbury Gunsmiths phone number? The old boy is at Loburn

This is what you want, it is arguably better than the ones that go on Winchester / H&R, which can come loose if you don't crank the snot out of the tiny grub screw than holds them in place. Just don't crank this one up too much, the pot metal could crack.

machined a double sided on for me for the Rossi You will have to ask him though
with the spur on one can note the position of the hammer easily and let it off more safely
a must have in my books with these actions
