i first bought the american in hmr and loved it so much i bought the 223 all weather as well. I'm no experienced shooter by any stretch of the imagination and that was my first time at a range ever so they are easy to shoot accurately i think from the results.
I am a fan of synthetic stocks, always have been because to me these are tools so with wood stocks i'm worried about damaging them. I like how they are light and have seen that some have mentioned the stocks are flexible but i haven't felt that in either so not sure about those comments.
Don't think they are the best quality, they are made to a price but function very well. I had a norinco jw105 (or what ever the 5.56/223 version is) and it is a massive step up from that. The bolt is a bit clunky but it functions perfectly and feeds easily. I love how the magazines are flush under the stock, that is so much better than a mag hanging down i think.
At the end of the day they have been very accurate with factory ammo which is the most important thing for me.
Have you held one in the store?
