Probably cheaper buying new S&L barrel ready to slipon. ( you get a cut rifled barrel that way as well) I have seen gunsmiths cut the female locking lug area off an old barrel and thread onto a new stock barrel. I know you can also buy this part from a manufacturer for Sauer barrels ( again this would thread on to a barrel blank. I will try and find the company. Actually saw some on TM months ago.
