    The optical quality can suffer, but generally mechanically you'll be ok.

    I did have a scope that was at the extreme edge of the adjustment range, where the windage wouldn't adjust until you dial elevation up a little bit where is would then jump across.

    So yeah you really don't want to be at the very very edge of the adjustment range.
